Love coffee and making videos about it? This can be your dream gig. Starbucks just brewed up a fantastic opportunity for caffeine-loving creative folks that you’re going to love a latte.

The global coffee giant is looking for a Global Coffee Creator, someone who’s obsessed with all things coffee and knows how to tell a good story on social media, particularly on TikTok and Instagram. So, if you’ve ever wanted to marry your two passions together, this might be your espresso shot. Let’s go over the details!

What Exactly is a Global Coffee Creator?

There will be 2 Global Coffee Creators in total, but only one will be an external hire. The other creator will be selected from their current Starbucks employees to produce more intimate “employee-as-influencer” style videos.

So what does the Global Coffee Creator do? It’s a 12-month role where the lucky coffee addicts will travel the world, especially Milan, Tokyo, Columbia, Dubai, Costa Rica, and more, to capture the vibes, culture, and people behind the Starbucks experience. You’ll be showing the world why Starbucks serves the finest coffee, each with regional menu items and specialty drinks. You’ll also talk with customers and baristas to share their stories.

Overall, you’ll travel to 10-15 designated Starbucks locations, including some Reserve Roasteries, to showcase the local community and atmosphere surrounding each.

What are the Qualifications to Become a Global Coffee Creator?

Obviously, you need a passion for coffee, travel, and the excitement to explore diverse cultures, but you’ll also need strong creativity and storytelling.

Since you’ll be creating content, you’ll need to be highly familiar with TikTok and Instagram and have experience with editing tools like Photoshop, InDesign, CaptureOne, Premier, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut.

As you’ll be working remotely, the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule will be necessary, along with being comfortable on camera to represent the Starbucks brand. Being a Starbucks ambassador of sorts, you’ll also need to be genuinely interested and have knowledge of the Starbucks brand and the global community.

Alright, What are the Requirements?

U.S. residents aged 18 and above with a high school diploma (or equivalent) are eligible to apply. You also don’t need any prior work experience as long as you fit the qualifications!

Since you’ll be traveling frequently, a valid passport will be needed, as the travel period will span from August 2025 through July 2026. Some global locations may also require travel vaccines. As long as you’re tech-savvy and can align with the Starbucks culture, brand, and social media guidelines, you’ll be able to hit the grounds running.

What is the Pay for Being a Global Coffee Creator?

Starbucks has a pay range of $80,000 to $136,000 annually for this role, and the actual pay will be determined but not limited to “job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.” Most likely, it’ll be closer to the lower end of that range.

But you’ll also have a priceless education in coffee and immersion in diverse coffee cultures, and your expenses while traveling for Starbucks as work trips are covered. And you’ll get to travel the WORLD.

How to Apply for the Global Coffee Creator Role? Deadline?

Since this position is all about storytelling, it’s no surprise that your application will need to include a video. On TikTok, you’ll need to post a public video showing and telling Starbucks why you’ll be the right fit for the job and include #StarbucksGlobalCoffeeCreator in the caption. Then, include the link to that video in your official application.

The DEADLINE to post your video is June 13, 2025, and the job will expire on June 14, 2025, so don’t delay!

The Money Move

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime role if you get selected, and we wish you all the luck! This is also a great testing ground for anyone that’s wanting to do content creation but hasn’t committed to doing it full-time yet. At least with this Starbucks Global Coffee Creator role, you have the temporary one-year job security of being regularly paid for doing something you love creatively.
