October 2025 Class Action Settlements You Might Qualify For
Companies settle lawsuits by paying out millions of dollars to consumers, and you could be one of them. They’re called “class action settlements,” which happen when a group of people (the “class”) sues a company for things like misleading advertising, privacy violations, or defective products.

$425M Capital One 360 Savings Account Settlement
Deadline: October 2, 2025
If you had a Capital One 360 Savings account between September 2019 and June 2025, you may get money back. Capital One didn’t raise interest rates on these accounts even though it raised them on the 360 Performance accounts.
This is an easy one where payments will be automatic, so no claim form is needed. You’ll get what you should’ve earned in interest. And an extra $125M will go to people who keep their accounts open past October 2, 2025.
Advance Auto Parts Data Breach Settlement
Deadline: October 8, 2025
Back in May 2024, Advance Auto Parts had a data breach that exposed info from 2.3 million applicants and employees. Yikes. If you got a notice, then you may be owed cash.
You can claim up to $5,000 for documented losses or get around $100 (especially if you’re in California). You’ll also get 2 years of free credit monitoring unless you choose cash instead.

$3.5M Neiman Marcus Data Breach Settlement
Deadline: October 8, 2025
Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus had a 2024 data breach that exposed customer information. As with most of these settlements, they don’t claim any wrongdoing but agreed to pony up money to resolve these allegations.
If you were affected, you can claim up to $2,500 for documented expenses like fraud charges or bank fees. Everyone also gets 2 years of free credit monitoring (value of $216).

$650K Whole Foods Hot Cocoa Settlement ☕ (California Only)
Deadline: October 14, 2025
If you bought 365 Organic Hot Cocoa in California between November 2017 and March 2025, you could get a payout. Whole Foods allegedly misled shoppers with oversized containers full of empty space.
Payments are really small, around $2.90 per person, but that could go towards your next beverage!

Deadline: October 20, 2025
Fashion Nova’s site wasn’t working properly with screen-readers, leaving blind shoppers without equal access. If you’re legally blind and have tried to shop there since 2018, you could be eligible for cash!
California residents may get up to $4,000 depending on claims.

$31.75M SmileDirectClub / Invisalign Settlement
Deadline: October 27, 2025
SmileDirectClub and Align (Invisalign) allegedly teamed up in an anti-competition deal, making aligners more expensive. If you bought SmileDirectClub aligners between 2017 and 2022, you could get an estimated $40-$60 payout (some people might get more or less depending on claims).

Deadline: October 27, 2025
Zales allegedly sent spammy text ads to people on the Do Not Call Registry. If you got multiple promotional texts without giving them your number, then you could get up to $100!
Personally, I feel like I have to check the Do Not Call Registry every year to make sure I’m still listed there, since I get a lot of spam!

Frontier Communications got hit with a 2024 data breach that exposed sensitive information like Social Security numbers. If you received a notice from Frontier, you could be eligible for cash.
