June Class Action Settlements You Might Qualify For

Companies settle lawsuits by paying out millions of dollars to consumers, and you could be one of them. They’re called “class action settlements,” which happen when a group of people (the “class”) sues a company for things like misleading advertising, privacy violations, or defective products.
If you qualify for any of the cases below, you might be eligible for a payout with no lawyer needed! Check out the settlements ending in June and file a claim before the deadline.
$4M HP.com Fake Discounts
Deadline: June 9, 2025
HP.com agreed to pay $4 million because they allegedly advertised fake discounts on their site. So, if you bought something on sale from HP’s website between June 5, 2021, and October 28, 2024, you could be owed some cash. The lawsuit says HP made it look like shoppers were getting major markdowns when, in reality, those “deals” weren’t real.
HP isn’t admitting to any wrongdoing, but they want to resolve it, so they’re settling.
Potential awards can range between $10 and $100 depending on how many people file a claim.
If you qualify for this settlement, you’ll need to provide your order number, product name, date of purchase, and quantity purchased.

Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag Refridgerator Frost
Deadline: June 18, 2025
If you bought a Whirlpool, KitchenAid, or Maytag fridge that couldn’t do its job, like…staying cool, then you’re not alone. There’s a class action settlement because these models reportedly had a defect that caused “excessive frost buildup,” which messed up how it cooled your food.
It’s specifically for refrigerators manufactured between 2012 and 2019, and you can check the eligibility of your fridge by punching in the serial number on their settlement website.
Potential awards could be $300+. If you qualify, then you’ll need to provide the purchase confirmation and repair invoices.

$1.8M UnitedHealth Optum RoboCalls
Deadline: June 24, 2025
UnitedHealth is settling for $1.8 million after being accused of spamming people with robocalls without their permission, violating the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act). If you got calls about Optum home care services between December 11, 2019, and March 27, 2025, and you never signed up for UnitedHealthcare or asked to be bugged, this may be for you.
They allegedly used automated robot voices to push the services, even to people who never opted in.
The award amount is under the “to be determined” category, but you can see the full details and how to file a claim here.
$4.42M DSW Spam Texts TCPA
Deadline: June 30, 2025
Another violation of the TCPA, but this time with DSW, the shoe store, who’s forking out $4.42 million to settle a lawsuit over sending spammy marketing texts even after people asked them to stop. A big no-no.
If you opted out of DSW texts between September 1, 2018, and Sept 1, 2024, and they still kept harassing you with promo texts, then you could get some of the settlement.
The potential award is estimated to be $70, but it depends on the amount of people who file a claim. This amount could go towards your next pair of shoes! 😉
