July 2025 Class Action Settlements You Might Qualify For

Published

on

Companies settle lawsuits by paying out millions of dollars to consumers, and you could be one of them. They’re called “class action settlements,” which happen when a group of people (the “class”) sues a company for things like misleading advertising, privacy violations, or defective products.

If you qualify for any of the cases below, you might be eligible for a payout with no lawyer needed! Check out the settlements ending in July and file a claim before the deadline.

$95M Apple Siri Eavesdropping

Deadline: July 2, 2025

Apple agreed to a $95 million settlement over claims that Siri accidentally recorded people’s private convos and shared them with third parties without consent, even when no one meant to activate it. Of course, Apple isn’t admitting any wrongdoing, but is willing to settle to make it go away.

So if you’ve owned or used any Siri-enabled Apple device in the U.S. between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, like an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Macbook, iMac, HomePod, etc, you might qualify to get some cash.

Potential awards can get up to $20 per device, depending on how many people file a claim and how many devices you own.

You may have already received an email or a notice in the mail that contains your Claimant ID code and Confirmation Code.

$6.8M Rite Aid 2024 Data Breach

    Deadline: July 7, 2025

If you shopped at a Rite Aid and your personal info was compromised in a June 2024 data breach, you might qualify to be a part of their $6.8 million settlement.

Hackers had reportedly accessed sensitive information like names, addresses, birthdates, and driver’s license numbers. The lawsuit claims Rite Aid didn’t protect the data correctly or let customers know fast enough.

You should’ve received a notice if you were affected, and you can get up to $10,000 if losses were documented, like ID theft expenses, credit monitoring, etc. If you don’t have proof, you can still get a cash payout, but the amount depends on how many people file.

Hackers had reportedly accessed sensitive data like genetic info, ancestry, and health reports, and the lawsuit says the company didn’t do enough to protect that information. Even though it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025, it’s still operating normally now.

If you have proof of expenses like credit monitoring and ID theft costs, then you can get up to $1,500. No proof? You can get up to $500!

    $1.5M SeaWorld Annual Pass Renewals

    Deadline: July 22, 2025

SeaWorld fans in California, if your San Diego annual pass renewed automatically without you realizing it, then you can get a piece of the $1.5 million class action settlement.

The theme park was accused of violating California’s auto-renewal laws by not clearly disclosing terms or getting proper consent when renewing annual passes.

So if you bought a SeaWorld San Diego annual pass online or in-app after February 28, 2019, and it auto-renewed without a refund, you may be owed money as long as your first renewal happened before February 28, 2025.

Payouts will be split based on the number of claims, and if you qualify, you’ll get paid automatically, making this one the easiest of the bunch. If you got a notice in the mail, you’ll get to choose an e-payment or a check.

    $22.5M Raw Chicken Prices

    Deadline: July 31, 2025

Several major chicken producers like Tyson and Pilgrim’s Pride were sued for allegedly fixing chicken prices, and now they’re paying up again.

This new round adds $22.5 million to a settlement that now totals $203.5 million.

The lawsuit claims big chicken companies teamed up to raise prices, making people overpay for fresh or frozen raw chicken from 2009-2019. As with most class actions, they’re not admitting guilt, but they’re settling to make it go away.

So if you bought raw chicken (fresh or frozen, NOT nuggets or deli meat) between January 1, 2009-July 31, 2019 in these states, you’re in: CA, DC, FL, HI, IL, IA, KS, ME, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, OR, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, and WI.

The amount is unknown as it depends on the number of claimants, but if you have receipts or proof of purchase, then you’ll get a bigger payout. Those with no proof anymore can still get a smaller check.
